Overview

Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute, subacute, residential aged care and allied and primary health care services. KDHS has three campuses located in the townships of Kyabram, Stanhope and Tongala.

About the Role

The Speech pathologist will provide a service within the Primary Health program. This will involve providing speech pathology services to outpatient community clients, acute and aged services and within the early intervention service/NDIS where required.

The Speech pathologist may also provide service to families in their unique and natural environment and therefore the Speech Pathologist may provide services within the home, pre-school, kindergarten, child- care and other community settings. At times the Speech Pathologist may be required to conduct group activities and convene parent and community information sessions as requested.

As a member of the Primary Health Department, the appointee will contribute to the overall performance of the team consistent with Kyabram District Health Services Purpose, Vision and Values.

About You

  •  A Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology, or an equivalent qualification as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
