About the Role

The Integrated Health Promotion Officer plays a key role in designing and delivering evidence-based health promotion initiatives that support the wellbeing of our community. You will plan, coordinate and evaluate programs aligned with organisational priorities, working closely with local partners and stakeholders. The role focuses on primary prevention, including men’s health, mental health, healthy eating/active living and gender equity. You will analyse local health data, support collaborative projects and contribute to innovative approaches that improve population health outcomes.

About You

You are a qualified and passionate health promotion professional with a tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health or a related health field. You have demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and evaluating primary prevention strategies and have successfully led projects and delivered education across a range of health promotion areas.

You bring strong skills in applying place-based approaches to primary prevention and have a sound understanding of population health planning. You are confident using data, research and community consultation to inform program design and decision-making.

You excel at building collaborative relationships and have proven experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, organisations and community groups. Your interpersonal skills are highly developed, including consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution, and you work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You are an engaging communicator with the ability to deliver high-quality presentations and prepare professional written reports and correspondence. You are organised, proactive and committed to improving community health outcomes through evidence-based practice. Experience working with marginalised or culturally diverse communities will be highly regarded.

You meet all mandatory employment requirements, including relevant screening checks and a current driver’s licence.
