The Service Department based at our Kalgoorlie Branch is seeking a high performing individual to coordinate Trade personnel and the Service Department requirements on a day to day basis. The role ensures all work is performed in accordance with operational activities.
Issue appropriate documents and work instructions to shop floor.
Maintain In-Process and Final Inspection Quality Assurance requirements.
Maximise labour output.
At all times, apply good Engineering Principles to an acceptable level of performance.
At all times, apply safe working practices, including a high standard of housekeeping.
Fulfil the requirements of Komatsu Australia Quality Assurance performance.
Assist in team members training needs.
Assist with quotations/tenders
Administer time keeping (job cards etc.) and Timesheets must be up to date and completed daily. Ensure all time sheets are given to Service Administrator in the morning of the next working day.
Assist in efforts to reduce job costs, oversee efforts required to meet delivery targets.
Lead by example.
Assist in review of team member’s performance level.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Implement and monitor all Quality Procedures, in accordance with the particular specifications and/or Contract Plan.
To identify and eliminate waste.
To ensure that at all times your actions are such that promotes the name of Komatsu Australia and by due process leads to the long term profitability of the Company.
Ensure employees and sub-contractors adhere to the Company’s OH& S requirements.
Provide technical and product information to staff and customers.
Liaise with customers and staff in a courteous manner.
Supervise trades persons in trade related work on plant equipment and components in accordance with manufacturers’ standards within the laid down time frame.
Conduct job estimations including planning and job progress.
Open and close jobs using the correct QA procedure.
Supervise the on-the-job training of trades persons and apprentices in consultation with the training staff.
Adapt procedures for testing and correctly diagnosing the faults in the equipment where manufacturers’ information is insufficient or unavailable.

Current Drivers Licence (HR preferred)
Previous Supervisory/ leading hand experience
Sound liaison skills
Ability to schedule and delegate to a team or individual
Strong professional communication skills
Strong key team player
Professional self-starter, with high attention to detail
Working knowledge of Quality Assurance and active in promoting its principals.
Ability to lead and mentor a team
Basic to intermediate computer knowledge/skills
Current Forklift Certification
Current Working at Heights Certification
Current Senior First Aid Certification
