The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Service Team Leader to join the Komatsu business. Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will be based in Mackay working Monday – Friday where your duties will provide you with on the job training to learn our systems and processes to develop into a Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating and building relationships directly with our important internal and external customers to quote and schedule work
  • Provide relief fill in for Field Service Supervisors when they are on leave
  • Ordering parts and supervising Apprentices
  • Closing out of your own work orders
  • Conduct servicing, repairs and diagnostics on construction equipment

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • Relevant Trade Certificate and or heavy maintenance equipment experience
  • Good technical knowledge and experience with Komatsu equipment
  • Experience in leading teams or proven experience in being self managed
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computing systems
  • Current MR (Medium Rigid) or greater driver’s licence preferred
  • Mobile equipment maintenance experience on construction, quarry and mining size earthmoving equipment
  • A proven high level of customer service
