The Opportunity: The Parts Interpreter/Store person will be responsible for assisting with parts ordering and warehouse activities ensuring both system and operational alignment of Komatsu and Curragh MARC contract obligations. The role will carry out all store and administration tasks associated with the Curragh MARC Agreement that may be required in a safe and proficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager, Maintenance Planner, and Contract Administrator in achieving contract KPIs by:
  • Ordering parts as required to meet the maintenance plan and onsite workflow.
  • Receipting parts as per on site workflow and Komatsu procedure.
  • Cyclic and yearly stock take as per site and contract requirements.
  • Arrange outbound freight requirements as required complete with con notes and supporting documentation.
  • Follow up on outstanding parts orders.
  • Effectively communicate of all contract related matters between Komatsu and Curragh Warehouse.
  • Assist in the management of WIP on site through timely administration
  • Assist with the management of established processes and procedures for contract administration on site.
  • Assist with continual improvement and development of site workflows.

What we are looking for:

  • Must possess a Qld Drivers’ License
  • Experienced with Komatsu Manuals maintenance manuals, parts manuals and schematic drawings and comprehension of them
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Qld Coal Board Medical
  • Must have or be able to obtain a the Qld Black Coal Generic Induction (S11)
  • General knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Have an excellent understanding and commitment to Safety and the Environment.
  • Must have well developed written and oral skills.
  • Ability to work with the minimum of supervision in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Commitment to continuous Improvement
  • Experience in heavy mining equipment maintenance and associated maintenance strategies.
  • Demonstrated prior experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System,
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Metrics relevant to contract maintenance and parts supply.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and tools utilised by large OEMs to manage machine maintenance.
  • Strong time management and priorisation skills to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of parts planning processes in the mining industry, preferably related to the maintenance of Komatsu Equipment
