The Opportunity

Reporting to the DC Supervisor, this position is responsible for coordinating tasks assigned to the warehouse team and providing regular feedback on the progress of tasks. Additionally the role will ensure the safety of team members and compliance with HSE legislation and policy.

 The Role

• Lead a team of people and co-ordinate their activities in order to achieve daily throughput requirements

• Ensure process accuracy with the system in order in order to achieve 100% accuracy of inventory

• To meet required KPI times for Inbound, Outbound and Inventory related activities

• Ensure appropriate record keeping is adhered to for receiving and dispatching goods

• Provide flexibility and quick action to achieve daily operational needs

• Willingness to take on ad hoc duties as required

• Work on roster and on the call out roster for after hours and weekends

Please note: Shift work will be a requirement for this position

 The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for

• Demonstrated experience and skills as a Warehouse Operator / Stores Person for a large scale operation

• Experience with Ones Logi platform in a Distribution Centre (DC) environment

• Sound people management and leadership skills

• Experience involving accurate recording of receipt, picking and delivery transactions, as well as data integrity and compliance with process

• Sound understanding of Inventory Control and Stock Management

• Well-developed written and oral communication skills to communicate with internal/external contacts

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment

• General computer skills/knowledge, as well as basic mathematical, statistical and analytical skills

• Heavy machinery parts knowledge will be highly advantageous

• Komatsu systems knowledge an advantage (Microsoft AX & SAP)

• Valid High Risk LO or LF Forklift and/or LO Order Picker licence would be advantageous
