Product Support Advisor

The Opportunity:

Komatsu seeks a Product Support Advisor for our Rio Tinto contract, responsible for ensuring the well-being of the Komatsu equipment fleet of trucks, loaders & excavators including 830E, 930E, PC4000, PC5500, WA900, WA1200.

Duties include offering on-the-job technical support, addressing fault finding, major component replacements, and aiding personnel with parts sourcing and technical information challenges

Roster & Location: FIFO from Perth, We’re offering an 8/6 day shift only roster and encompass various sites, including relief roles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and reporting on the daily downtime of the machine fleet at the site
• Involvement in the repair process for local dealer machinery
• Assisting customers in the administration of the Komatsu warranty process
• Understanding and forecasting scheduled downtime
• Providing weekly site updates for both customers and Komatsu management
• Optimizing machine performance
• Monitoring machine systems

What we are looking for:

• Trade Qualification in mechanical or electrical with exposure to heavy mobile equipment 
• Mining industry experience, preferably with Komatsu equipment
• Exhibit self-motivation, initiative, and a collaborative team spirit, driven by a commitment to excellence and professionalism
• Uphold consistently high standards of customer service, actively promoting Komatsu Products and Services
• Showcase proven problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
• Capable of working remotely at customer sites
• Possess strong negotiation skills and meticulous attention to detail
