The Opportunity:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced HD Fitter/Field Service Technician to join the team at our Bunbury branch, whilst also servicing the Lower South West of WA. We are seeking someone who can take on the challenge with hands on work, whilst overseeing the success of the service roster. This role will report directly to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in co-ordination, management & scheduling branch service activities in line with Komatsu standards, policies & procedures.
  • To carry out duties in lines of a Workshop and Field Service Technician in the Lower South West area 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both customers & company personnel
  • Ensure all service department activities meet Golden Rules & OHS&E standards
  • Maintain Work in Progress jobs in line with company standards
  • Manage technician hours to minimise lost time

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • Relevant Heavy Duty Trade Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of earth moving machinery and the mining industry
  • Ability to build on a strong team-orientated environment within the division and other departments
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both internal & external
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exposure to Dynamics, Komserv and SAP software is advantageous
  • Well-developed written & oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Must have a positive can do attitude
  • Current Drivers License
