The Opportunity:

The purpose of this position is to represent Komatsu on a customer’s site. This technician will work alongside a team of Komatsu staff to support and complete all Komatsu machine orientated tasks to benefit both the customer and Komatsu. This position is to generate and advise Komatsu hierarchy of any opportunity and or risk which will allow the Komatsu to manage the Komatsu brand in line with business strategies and the Support Charter.

 What we are looking for:

  • Trade qualification – HV Electrician. Preference for dual trade HV Electrical and Mechanical
  • Must possess a Qld Drivers’ License
  • Excellent knowledge of Komatsu Machines. Previous experience on Komatsu 930E-4, WA-1200-6, and Komatsu Excavators would be advantageous
  • Experienced with Komatsu Manuals maintenance manuals, parts manuals and schematic drawings and comprehension of them
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Qld Coal Board Medical that does not restrict you from carrying out duties as set down in this Position Description.
  • Must be able to undertake a Supervisory Role on site with prior experience and qualifications
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Qld Black Coal Generic Induction (S11)
  • General knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Have an excellent understanding and commitment to Safety and the Environment.
  • Must have well developed written and oral skills.
  • The ability to communicate with the Customer, Komatsu and Site Personnel.
  • Ability to work with the minimum of Supervision in a Safe and Efficient manner.
  • Must have the appropriate demeanor to create and work in a positive team atmosphere.
  • Have a high-level attitude for continuous Improvement within your Field of Expertise.
  • National Accredited Skills such as Aircon, Forklift and Crane Tickets would be advantageous.
