We are looking for a Machine Operator Team Leader to join our world-class manufacturing facility, running our main praline depositing lines. We have three roles available.
Day shift position
6am-2.30pm Monday to Thursday
6am-12noon Friday
Main duties will include but not limited to:
- Lead and supervise your line team to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment
- Operate state of the art chocolate moulding lines, including enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings and tempering chocolate
- Take responsibility for end-to-end machine operations, ensuring quality control and GMP guidelines are met
- Organise packing staff at end-of-line packing stations
- Follow set recipes and methods to create chocolates to specification
- Mix and blend ingredients to prepare fillings for depositing
- Follow and execute production schedules
- Perform consistent heavy lifting of up to 25kg throughout shifts
- Complete machine clean down and line changeovers efficiently
- Maintain accurate paperwork and traceability records
- Monitor stock levels and place orders when required
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG
- Proven leadership or team leader experience within production
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learning attitude
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to keep your work area clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards (we maintain the highest level BRC accreditation)
- A can-do attitude with punctuality and reliability
