This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer accounts and supporting healthy cashflow across the business. If you’re a proactive problem-solver who enjoys owning the detail and delivering with precision, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function; covering invoicing, receipting, credit control, reconciliations and customer account support. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Corporate Sales, Retail and eCommerce to ensure timely payments, accurate ledgers and smooth financial operations.

👑 Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and process invoices and credit notes for wholesale and corporate customers, and issue monthly statements
• Perform daily receipting of payments across online, wholesale and retail channels
• Complete customer account and accounts receivable balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
• Proactively manage debtor ageing, follow up overdue accounts and maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer communications
• Partner with wholesale account managers to resolve customer payment queries and issues
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and clean ledgers
• Ensure accounts receivable processes comply with financial controls and support periodic and year-end audits
• Work closely with Finance, Wholesale, Retail, IT and eCommerce teams to support accurate transactions and efficient accounts receivable processes
• Provide Accounts Payable support during peak periods and team leave
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes
• Initiate escalation or legal recovery processes for delinquent accounts where required

💼 What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control or a similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and confidence managing ledgers and reconciliations
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach and confidence resolving queries and discrepancies
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Familiarity with accounting systems and intermediate Excel skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with high standards for accuracy and follow-through
• Confidence taking ownership of issues and working with stakeholders to reach a resolution
• Adaptability and a willingness to identify better ways of working
