Start your career with KJR through our Internship Program. The Program will be over the summer semester break from mid-October 2023 until January 2024 and is open to university students in their last year of study or graduating in mid-year 2024.
During the Program, you are paired with a mentor who will be an excellent support and resource for you as well as collaborate with an outstanding team of tech professionals. You can expect client contact, real-life case studies, and excellent networking opportunities.
More importantly, the experience you gain during the Program will help you make an informed decision about your career pathway, allowing you to secure a position in our Graduate Program as a Junior Consultant.
Pathway to the KJR Graduate Program
The Summer Internship will open the door to our Graduate Program and fantastic career opportunities. Successful candidates from the internship may be invited to join our Graduate Program which supports young professionals to transition from university to employment. Underpinned by a framework for career development that supports learning to build technical, leadership, and communications skills.
Who can apply?
Our Internship Program is open to university students in their penultimate year of university and is studying for a Bachelor of Computer Science or similar in Technology.
What’s on offer?
KJR Interns will be responsible for assisting in the execution and delivery of various solutions across a range of service offerings that relate to specific client requirements.
Interns will work with their assigned clients as valued team members to ensure projects are delivered to the scope and within constraints.
Joining KJR as an intern, you will work alongside our super-talented team to grow your knowledge and skills in;
- IT Quality Assurance & Advisory
- Automation/ DevOps
- Performance Testing
- Work on some of KJR’s innovation projects utilising emerging technologies in areas such as Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
What are we looking for?
- Completing Computer Science or Software Engineering/Web Development degree.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance best practices and agile methodology highly regarded.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong scripting skills using Python or equivalent languages.
- Understanding machine learning models and their application to business problems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of image processing, speech processing, and computer vision will be highly regarded.
- Experience working in cloud technologies or automation tools such as Selenium will be a bonus.
Most importantly, you’re passionate about learning and have an insatiable hunger for exploring and understanding new technologies. We’re a collaborative team so you will like working with others and won’t be afraid to share your ideas, ask questions, or chat with colleagues and customers about the work you’re doing.
