About KJR

KJR is an Australian-owned technology consultancy specialising in software quality engineering, AI adoption, and risk-led advisory.

Since 1997, we’ve partnered with enterprise organisations, government, and emerging innovators to deliver trusted, high-quality technology outcomes. What started in a garage on the Gold Coast has grown into a national consultancy known for solving complex problems and helping organisations adopt new technologies with confidence.

We’re proud to be Great Place to Work® Certified™, reflecting the strong culture we’ve built — one grounded in trust, expertise, and creating an environment where our people can thrive.

At KJR, we’re known as The Collective — a team driven by curiosity, collaboration, and continuous growth. Our values — Human, Champion, Explorer, Truth-Teller — aren’t just words; they shape how we work, how we support each other, and how we deliver for our clients.

About the Opportunity

We’re opening an Expression of Interest (EOI) for our mid-year intake of Junior Consultants, focused on building capability in software testing and quality engineering.

This is an entry point into consulting at KJR — designed for individuals who are early in their careers and ready to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

As a Junior Consultant, you will:

  • Work on real client engagements alongside experienced consultants
  • Build foundational skills in software testing, quality engineering, and delivery
  • Gain exposure to modern tools, frameworks, and enterprise environments
  • Learn how to operate in a consulting and stakeholder-driven setting
  • Be supported through structured learning and on-the-job development

What We’re Looking For

We hire for mindset as much as skill.

  • Interest in technology, software testing, or IT delivery
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt in client environments
  • Relevant degree, certification, or project experience (preferred but not essential)

Eligibility (Mandatory Requirements)

  • Australian Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearances where required

How to Apply

To be considered, you must submit your application along with responses to the below mandatory employer questions.

Applications without completed responses will not be reviewed.

Employer Questions (Mandatory)

  1. Why are you interested in starting a career in software testing and consulting?
  2. What exposure have you had to technology, software development, or testing (study, projects, or work)?
  3. Describe a time you had to learn something new quickly or solve a complex problem.
  4. What interests you about working at KJR?
  5. Are you an Australian Citizen? (Yes/No)

Why KJR

At KJR, you won’t just be placed into a role — you’ll be supported to build a career.

You’ll be part of a team that:

  • Invests in learning and capability development
  • Encourages curiosity and exploration
  • Works on meaningful, real-world technology challenges
  • Values people, culture, and long-term growth

We will be reviewing EOIs as part of our mid-year intake, with multiple opportunities available.

If you’re ready to start your journey in consulting and build a career in technology — we’d love to hear from you.
