Senior Test Analyst
Location: Melbourne (South East)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
KJR is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a large-scale Customer Information and Billing System (CIS) within the Utilities sector.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of complex business and technology solutions. Experience with utility billing systems, customer information systems, regulatory change programs, tariff management, and system integrations will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Execute System, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Contribute to release planning and testing effort estimations.
- Validate billing calculations, customer account management processes, and tariff updates.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation activities, API testing, and interface validation.
- Support business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing.
- Identify, document, and manage defects through to resolution.
- Facilitate defect triage sessions and provide regular testing status updates and quality assessments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure testing artefacts align with organisational quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, frameworks, and quality outcomes.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Demonstrated experience in System, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Strong defect management and defect lifecycle experience.
- Proven capability in SQL query writing, data validation, and API testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Experience within the Utilities sector, including electricity, gas, water, telecommunications, or infrastructure.
- Exposure to Customer Information Systems (CIS), Billing, and Revenue Management platforms.
- Experience testing HiAffinity, Salesforce, and/or PEGA solutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tariff testing.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
