KJR is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join a very exciting and long term large Queensland Government project. You will work closely with our Test Leads helping drive QA best practices and processes, as well as ensuring great product quality through various testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Testing & Validation
- Design and execute data validation and reconciliation tests across source and target systems
- Develop and run SQL queries to validate large datasets and identify discrepancies
- Support data migration testing, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency
- Investigate and analyse data defects, anomalies, and transformation issues
- Contribute to overall data quality assurance across ETL and pipeline processes
Test Automation
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions for data and platform validation
- Contribute to the implementation and extension of automation frameworks (e.g. Python-based)
- Support adoption of TOSCA Data Integrity (DI) for data reconciliation (training provided)
- Execute automated test suites and analyse results
Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis
- Experience in data testing and reconciliation
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g. Python or similar)
- Understanding of enterprise testing practices and SDLC
- Experience working with data or integration-heavy systems
- Approximately 2–5 years’ experience in testing or test engineering roles
- Exposure to TOSCA (especially Data Integrity)
- Experience with Azure data platforms
- Familiarity with data pipeline/orchestration tools (e.g. DBT)
- Experience with data migration testing
- Programming experience (e.g. Python)
