Animal Attendant (Dog Daycare)

Across our Melbourne sites in Fairfield, Thomastown and Brunswick, our teams are deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through our doors. We are now looking for the pick of the litter to join our team across these locations and help contribute to providing a premium service to our local pet communities.

The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours between 6:30am–6:30pm, Monday through Friday, with the ability to adapt to a variety of shifts and work across our Fairfield, Thomastown and Brunswick sites as required.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

• Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
• Providing canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities
• Implementing daily leadership and training activities
• Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facilities
• Building and maintaining rapport with dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
• Creating and distributing media content for pet owners through videos and photos
• Completing daily administration, including answering enquiries, record keeping and preparing documents

What are the minimum requirements?

• Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
• Confident handling dogs of all sizes, including larger breeds
• Strong communication skills with an empathetic and customer-focused approach
• Able to work long, active days in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for learning and developing skills in canine behaviour and training
• Comfortable using computer systems, booking platforms and phone applications (including social media and basic video editing)
