Maintenance Person & Pet Transport Driver

We’re now looking for a versatile, hands-on person to carry out Maintenance duties, as well as occasional Pet Transport Driving at our Hanrob Melbourne Pet Hotel in Tullamarine. This casual role offers up to 4 shifts per week, with varied duties across facility upkeep and pet transport.
You’ll play an important part in keeping our site safe, clean, and welcoming for pets and their families, while also supporting the team with safe and caring pet transport.

What you’ll be doing:
- Performing general maintenance and groundskeeping, including small repairs, basic equipment upkeep, cleaning duties, lawn care, and gardening
- Conducting regular inspections and reporting issues for follow-up or preventative maintenance
- Assisting the Site Manager with improvement projects and presentation standards
- Operating a Hanrob vehicle to transport pets safely and comfortably, including loading and unloading
- Providing professional and friendly customer service during pet pick-ups and drop-offs
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the site
What we’re looking for:
- A current, unrestricted Victorian driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in maintenance, gardening, property care, or a similar hands-on role – trade qualification desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of the Melbourne area and local districts essential, with previous experience with local driving or transport desirable
- Lawn care and equipment use (mower, whipper snipper, etc.) highly regarded
- A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Physically fit and capable of handling dogs and cats safely and confidently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in completing tasks to a high standard
- Great communicator with a professional, friendly approach
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, in all weather
- Committed to working safely and following instructions, policies and procedures
- Must have Australian work rights
Please note: This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals (up to 50kg). You must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and comfortably interact with pets, team members, and customers. A Pre-Employment Medical Disclosure will be required to ensure you can safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
