Cluster Manager

Kip Happy Stays QLD

Kip Happy Stays is Australia’s leading provider of pet care services—and we’re growing.

We’re looking for a Cluster Manager to lead a portfolio of sites across QLD, including Kip Brisbane, Kip Caloundra, Kip Ipswich and Kip Imparra.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll partner with Site Managers to drive performance, build capability, and create high-performing, engaged teams. If you enjoy being out on the ground, developing leaders, and improving operations, this role is for you.

You can be based in Brisbane, Ipswich or the Sunshine Coast, with regular travel between sites.

Why this role stands out

  • Autonomy and impact – own multiple sites and influence real business outcomes
  • Strong people leadership focus – coach and develop leaders, not just manage them
  • Join a growing national business with real career progression opportunities
  • Variety in your role – a mix of site visits, leadership and operational improvement
  • Work with pets every day 🐾

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop Site Managers and their teams across multiple locations
  • Drive site performance across sales, labour and P&L outcomes
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning and succession across your sites
  • Improve operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Maintain strong safety, compliance and presentation standards
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits and performance reviews
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue and enhance site performance

About you

You might currently be a:

  • Area Manager / Cluster Manager
  • Multi-site Retail or Hospitality Leader
  • Operations Manager ready to step into a broader role

You’ll bring:

  • Experience leading multiple sites, teams or departments
  • Strong leadership capability with a coaching mindset
  • Commercial acumen (KPIs, budgets, P&L)
  • A hands-on, proactive approach
  • The ability to influence, problem-solve and drive results

Animal care experience is not essential – leadership and multi-site experience are what matter most.

What we offer

  • Career growth opportunities in a growing national business
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Up to 50% off boarding, daycare and retail services
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Employee Referral Program – earn up to $3,000 per successful referral

Additional information

  • Regular travel between sites (reimbursed)
  • Primarily Monday–Friday, with flexibility during peak periods
  • Occasional public holiday work and on-call support required
  • Availability across peak periods including school holidays, Christmas and Easter

How to apply

Click the Apply button to apply via our website. Include a cover letter outlining why you are the best fit for the role. If you don’t have direct experience in the animal care industry, we'd love to know how your current skill set can transfer!
