At Kip, our site leadership teams are key to the success of each location. We’re seeking a passionate and capable leader to join Kip Imparra in an Assistant Manager/Lead capacity, combining hands-on pet care with team leadership and operational support.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Site Manager to support the day-to-day running of the site, lead by example on the floor, and help guide a high-performing team to deliver exceptional care and customer experiences. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up into leadership or further develop their management skills in a supportive environment.

You’ll also have access to our Head Office support functions – we’re here to help you and your team thrive.

The ideal candidate will be available to work hours between 7am–6pm, Monday through Sunday. Rosters can be discussed with shortlisted candidates but typically reflect a five-day work week inclusive of one weekend day. Availability to work across all school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in leading, training, and motivating the team
  • Be hands-on in daily operations – this role is on the floor and customer-facing (must love dogs!)
  • Assist with rostering, compliance, and general site operations
  • Help deliver exceptional customer service and smooth booking experiences
  • Support site performance by helping to drive bookings and occupancy
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and animal welfare
  • Assist with managing pet health concerns and communicating with pet owners
  • Contribute to social media content and showcasing the Kip experience

Experience & Skills:

  • Passionate about pet care, with a hands-on and customer-first mindset
  • Previous experience in a team leadership, supervisor or senior team member role
  • Animal experience is highly regarded but not essential – we’re open to transferable skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Willing to jump in and support the team wherever needed
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
