Assistant Site Manager – Animal Boarding (Imparra, Ipswich Region)

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Imparra team, supporting daily operations, leading a passionate team, and helping deliver exceptional care to every pet that stays with us.

This is a hands-on role combining animal care, team leadership, and site operations — ideal for someone ready to step into leadership or further develop their management skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
About the role
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Site Manager to support the day-to-day running of the site, lead by example on the floor, and help guide a high-performing team to deliver exceptional care and customer experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in leading, training, and motivating the team
- Be hands-on in daily operations – this role is on the floor and customer-facing (must love dogs!)
- Assist with rostering, compliance, and general site operations
- Help deliver exceptional customer service and smooth booking experiences
- Support site performance by driving bookings and occupancy
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and animal welfare
- Assist with managing pet health concerns and communicating with pet owners
- Contribute to social media content and showcasing the Kip experience
About you
- Passionate about pet care, with a hands-on and customer-first mindset
- Previous experience in a team leadership, supervisor, or senior team member role
- Animal experience is highly regarded, but we welcome candidates with transferable leadership experience (retail, hospitality, or operations)
- Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Willing to jump in and support the team wherever needed
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Working hours
The ideal candidate will be available to work between 7am–6pm, Monday to Sunday.
Rosters typically reflect a five-day work week, including one weekend day.
Availability across peak periods (including school holidays, Christmas, and Easter) is required.
