We have a 1st year engineering fabrication apprenticeship on offer within a long-established local business providing engineering manufacturing solutions.
They make agricultural feeding systems, specialise in custom welding, sheet metal processing, laser cutting and turret punching as well as engineering design work too.
So if you are, hard-working, self-motivated and keen to start an apprenticeship, put in an application for this one.
What you'll need:
- A genuine interest in metal fabrication (making things out of metal!)
- Have good attention to detail
- 100% commitment to undertaking this 4 year apprenticeship
- Have completed year 11 as a minimum
- Be willing to attend and complete all trade school requirements
- Be able to work both alone and as part of a team
- Reliable transport to and from work.
About the position
The successful candidate will be trained up in all aspects of welding fabrication including:
- Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
- Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
- Collaborate with experienced tradespeople in a supportive environment.
- Following company safety procedures
This is a fantastic career-start opportunity to become trade qualified. As an apprentice, you will receive both on and off the job training working towards Certificate III Engineering Welding Fabrication which will see you employed directly by Kestrel by up to 4 years.
