About the role

Build a career within a fun and positive workplace in this Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship based in Albury Wodonga.

Working a full-time roster, the successful apprentice will complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, while gaining hands on experience within commercial, residential and decorative finishings.

You will travel to different job sites across Albury and Wodonga and be exposed to a multitude of projects.

What you will be doing

• Carry out measurements and calculations and interpret plans
• Mixing of paints and matching colors accurately
• Use painting equipment to apply different types of paint finishes
• Conduct surface protection and preparation (removal of wall coverings, sanding, patching, sealing, priming and fixing woodwork)
• Constructing scaffolding and ladders
• Consulting with customers to understand color and style requirements
• Gain practical experience in the safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Complete other tasks as directed.
