About the role:

Do you have a passion for performance vehicles? Here is an opportunity for one lucky person to start their career as a performance engine builder whilst completing an apprenticeship in Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).

Our client, a highly respected family owned & operated business located in Wodonga, Victoria is looking to add an apprentice to their highly skilled team.

This is a fantastic career-start opportunity to become trade qualified. As an apprentice, you will receive both on and off the job training working towards MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade which will see you employed directly by Kestrel by up to 4 years.

About you:

• A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade
• A commitment to understand and complete formal training thought RTO/TAFE
• The ability to listen and follow instructions and ask for help when needed
• A willingness to undertake paid employment in your chosen trade
• The desire to make a positive contribution in the workplace
• A commitment to workplace safety
• Must be Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training (Paid for by Kestrel)
• Drivers license & reliable transport required
• Work experience in chose trade (desirable)
• Completion of a relevant VET or Pre-Apprenticeship course (desirable)

What you will do:

You will learn all aspects of the business from the following:

• Turbo Repairs
• Tailshaft Modifications
• Automotive Machining
• Dyno Test & Tuning
• Hi-performance Engine Re-Builds to Heavy Diesel Engine Reconditioning
