About the Role

At Kent, Customer Service is our priority and the driving force behind our vision to Make Life Easy. Our interstate and international relocations rely on precise planning, strong communication, and accurate system management to ensure containers move safely, efficiently, and on time.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Scheduler (Linehaul) to support interstate container scheduling and depot operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this on-site role is responsible for planning container movements between branches, coordinating road and rail linehaul services, managing wharf and rail bookings, and ensuring all WMS entries and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

You will act as the primary customer contact following Coordination handover, providing updates, managing changes, and ensuring service delivery expectations are met. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational flow, minimising service delays, and ensuring compliance across container and scheduling activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their operational career within logistics and relocation, with clear pathways into Senior Scheduler and future Operations leadership roles.

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Plan and arrange interstate container and linehaul movements
  • Manage container in/out movements at depot
  • Coordinate road, rail, and wharf bookings
  • Update and maintain accurate WMS and container scheduling records
  • Brief and debrief crews, ensuring job documentation is complete and compliant
  • Liaise with warehouse teams, contractors, and crews on movements and compliance
  • Provide proactive customer updates and manage service changes
  • Escalate major delays or customer issues to the Operations Manager

About You

You are organised, resilient, and thrive in a fast-paced operational environment. You understand that successful scheduling requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm when priorities shift.

You enjoy problem-solving and take pride in getting the details right - whether that’s ensuring WMS accuracy, coordinating container movements, or managing last-minute changes. You can balance customer expectations with operational realities and build positive working relationships with crews, warehouse teams, and contractors.

You are dependable, punctual, and understand that reliable attendance is critical in an operations environment where customers and teams rely on your planning.

What we hope you have:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in logistics, container control, warehousing, or scheduling
  • Basic knowledge of container or linehaul processes
  • Experience using WMS or similar systems with strong data accuracy
  • Ability to follow compliance and documentation procedures
  • Strong time management and multitasking capability
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with customers and operational teams

You may not meet every requirement - and that’s okay. At Kent, we are committed to training and development through our Kent Academy, and completion of role-specific training is an inherent part of this position.

If you are looking to start or elevate your career in operations scheduling - not just to secure another job - you’re in the right place.
