The Opportunity
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and contributing beyond compliance. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with Partners, play a key role in delivering outcomes, and continue developing your expertise across a diverse range of accounting, tax and advisory matters.
Position Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
- Take lead in the preparation Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
- Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
- Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
- Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
- Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
- Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
- Offer support and training to junior team members
About You
- Minium of 2-3+ years’ experience in a Chartered Accounting practice
- Working towards, or planning to commence, the CA Program
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Previous experience working remotely highly advantageous
- Solid technical accounting knowledge, or a genuine eagerness to build it
- Experience with APS accounting software (highly regarded)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, motivated and genuinely keen to learn, grow and develop professionally
