The Opportunity
Kelly+Partners Private Wealth is seeking a driven Business Development Manager (Alternative Investments & Private Markets). This is a key role within our expanding wealth advisory business, ideal for someone with strong business development skills, sound investment product knowledge and a passion for building relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to grow Funds under Management (FUM) across diversified investment strategies and product lines, with a focus on Alternative Investments and Private Market Opportunities.
- Drive business development strategies with a strong focus on expanding professional networks and generating qualified leads.
- Identify new business opportunities in the Private Markets investments space, including private equity, real estate, and private credit.
- Support capital raising activities by engaging with prospective investors and preparing pitch materials.
- Build and manage strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and referral networks.
- Collaborate with Partners and the marketing team to deliver targeted campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Present to small groups of investors on alternative investment opportunities
- Present tailored investment proposals and materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work with accounting partners and their clients to deliver wholesale investment opportunities to their clients
- Monitor pipeline activity, deliver reporting, and contribute to strategic growth planning.
- Represent Kelly+Partners at client events and networking forums.
- Cross sell other business lines including insurance, finance, tax and accounting.
About You
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development, wealth advisory, capital raising or financial services.
- Proactive and relationship-driven professional with demonstrated success in business development, networking, and capital raising.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
- Comprehensive Knowledge across private markets and alternative investments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related field (RG146 required).
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and thrives in a professional services environment.
- Well-presented and ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Comfortable with travel as required to attend client meetings, events, and Kelly+Partners offices across various regions.
- Self-driven and want to be part of building and owning a business
- Long Term Commitment is a must.
