Your Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Legal Counsel to support Kelly+Partners’ continued and significant growth. As a valued member of our high-performing team, you will work closely with the Head of Legal on a wide range of engaging and challenging legal matters. With our sustained global expansion strategy, you will also have the chance to collaborate with other senior team members on acquisitions and business projects, ensuring their smooth integrations.
Your roles & responsibilities
- Providing timely and commercially-focused generalist legal advice and supporting the Head of Legal and other senior team members across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, often under tight deadlines
- Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, transaction documents and other legal paperwork
- Supporting the full lifecycle of corporate transactions, from drafting NDAs, coordinating due diligence to managing documentation through completion and assisting with post-completion implementation
- Maintaining contract database, as well as corporate and ASIC registers
- Managing ASIC and ASX lodgements and handling other regulatory reporting requirements, such as Modern Slavery and AML/CTF, from time to time
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of processes, policies and legal precedents
What makes you stand out
- 3-4 years’ PQE in corporate and commercial law; experience working in private M&A and/or within an in-house team is highly regarded but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to details, analytical abilities, and organisational skills
- A proactive self-motivated approach; willing to pitch in and get things done, with the ability to work autonomously when required
- Adaptable and agile, capable of managing competing priorities and thriving in fast-paced environments
- Solid technical, analytical, and drafting skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues and provide pragmatic commercial advice for various stakeholders
- Experience in working with legal software, particularly Thomson Reuters HighQ or similar document automation systems, is highly advantageous
- General corporate and commercial matters experience on drafting and reviewing a range of commercial contracts, providing legal advice on contractual and legal risk issues
