The Opportunity

As a Bookkeeper, you will play an important role in supporting our clients and contributing to the continued growth of Kelly+Partners Bendigo. This is a part-time opportunity, ideal for someone looking to build their career within a supportive and collaborative team environment. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping role and be passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients, providing day-to-day accounting and payroll support
  • Prepare and lodge BAS and other statutory returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Process payroll for a variety of clients, including payroll tax obligations and reporting requirements
  • Prepare end-of-year Single Touch Payroll lodgements
  • Complete bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and data processing
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports using accounting software
  • Work closely with Client Directors, Managers, and the broader team to support client outcomes
  • Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and company events

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping, accounts, or similar role
  • Experience in a public practice or chartered accounting firm is advantageous but not essential
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting is preferred
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or Reckon
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  •  Willing to work part-time (up to 20 hours) per week

  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
