Role Overview
As an Intermediate Accountant at Kelly+Partners Penrith, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services. The team provides strong support and ongoing training, allowing you to build confidence, capability, and autonomy at a steady pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
- Take lead in the preparation Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
- Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
- Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
- Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
- Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
- Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
- Offer support and training to junior team members
What You Bring
You take pride in producing high‑quality work, enjoy being part of a supportive team, and are looking to build a stable, long‑term career within a professional practice.
- 2+ years’ full-time experience in a Chartered Accounting or professional services environment
- CA qualified or currently undertaking CA studies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Familiarity with MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Strong communication, organisational, and time‑management skills
- A client‑first mindset and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and take initiative
- A genuine desire to grow and contribute within a high‑performing team
