This position will have responsibility for the following: 

  • Preparation of SMSF Financial Statements
  • Completion of SMSF Annual Returns
  • Preparation of Tax Reconciliations
  • Reconciliations of investment balances and investment returns
  • Calculation of pension liabilities
  • BAS & IAS Statements as required
  • Preparation of electronic workpapers
  • Preparation of audit package and liaising with external auditors
  • Preparation of Trustee documentation
  • Ensuring work completion satisfying budget and time constraints
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC
  • Work with the Client Director and team to ensure client work is completed within the timeframe allocated
  • Preparation of correspondence to clients and other bodies as required
  • Other tasks as required

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients
  • Experience in a Chartered Accounting practice
  • Degree qualified
  • CA completed or near completion
  • Passion / desire to work exclusively within a SMSF team and to become a SMSF specialist
  • Experience with BGL SF360, MYOB, HowNow, MS Excel and Word an advantage
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic
