The Opportunity

KBR is seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to join a high-performing Defence team. This role is ideal for an early-career project professional looking to build capability across planning, reporting, stakeholder engagement and project governance.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of Defence projects by ensuring strong coordination, compliance and communication across all project functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, briefs and correspondence
  • Support the creation and improvement of project plans, processes, templates and registers
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders, including sponsors, contractors and customer organisations
  • Coordinate and contribute to weekly, fortnightly and monthly reporting cycles
  • Conduct routine check-ins with project staff to ensure risks, schedule, finance and quality activities are up to date
  • Assist in maintaining project governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support knowledge sharing and transfer of project management practices

As the ideal candidate, you will bring:

  • Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in project coordination or support roles
  • Strong skills in planning, organisation and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with project reporting, documentation and governance processes
  • Familiarity with project management tools and Defence environments (desirable)
  • Must have an active NV1 security clearance
