KBR is seeking a strategically minded and detail oriented Program Scheduler to join our Defence team in Canberra, supporting a range of high‑priority Defence capability initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of scheduling outcomes and driving the effective delivery of complex program schedules.

You will use your strong communication skills, sound judgement, and initiative to produce detailed planning and scheduling products that inform decision making across the program. As a trusted scheduling specialist, you will provide expert technical, professional, and policy advice on complex work schedules while supporting broader strategic planning, program governance, and project management activities.

A key aspect of this opportunity is the development and maintenance of project level schedules that integrate seamlessly into the overarching Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring alignment and coherence across the wider program.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain program and project schedules, including contributing to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Provide expert advice on scheduling methodologies, risks, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Engage extensively with stakeholders across Defence, industry partners, and functional teams to gather schedule inputs and maintain schedule integrity.
  • Support strategic planning, program governance, and project management activities through accurate and timely schedule data.
  • Analyse schedule performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Apply best‑practice scheduling principles in alignment with Defence policies and frameworks, including the One Defence Capability System.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • 5+ years’ scheduling experience in the Defence environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain complex schedules.
  • Experience delivering and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for major programs.
  • Proficiency in Open Plan Professional (OPP) Version 8 or higher, with a comprehensive understanding of scheduling practices for complex Defence projects.
  • Strong understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Due to the nature of Defence work, applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an active NV1 security clearance.
