The Opportunity
KBR is seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Support Officer to support the Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Joint & Air Systems Program Office (SPO).
In this role, you will contribute to the acquisition and through-life support of critical Joint and Air Electromagnetic Warfare capabilities used by the Australian Defence Force (ADF). You’ll play a key role in delivering commercial and procurement support across complex Defence projects, working within a high-performing team that supports national security outcomes.
This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical programs while developing your expertise in Defence procurement and contract management within a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of tender documentation and assist in evaluation processes in line with ASDEFCON requirements
- Provide commercial and procurement support across sustainment activities
- Assist in planning, preparing, and gaining approval for procurement documentation
- Support subcontractor engagement, due diligence, and ongoing management
- Contribute to commercial risk, issue, and opportunity management
- Ensure contract compliance by liaising with internal stakeholders and project teams
- Manage contractual, procurement, and financial activities aligned with Commonwealth policies
- Assist in maintaining accurate reporting and project documentation
- Participate in training, workshops, and continuous professional development
- Support additional project tasks as directed by senior project leadership
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, project/program support, and reporting
- Working knowledge of Commonwealth and Defence procurement frameworks
- Familiarity with ASDEFCON contract suites
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines in a structured environment
- Experience in financial processes such as pricing, billing, and contract administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across commercial, technical, and engineering teams
