KBR is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly skilled and experienced defence technical and engineering professionals to support the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group within the Department of Defence.
Under the GWEO Integrated Work Package (IWP), KBR provides Above The Line (ATL) Contracted Support to the GWEO Group across a broad range of programs, projects, and business functions. The GWEO Group delivers critical capabilities that directly enable mission success for Defence Groups and Services and is currently undertaking a number of prioritised activities aligned to updated Defence and Industry Strategic Priorities, supporting Australia’s sovereign domestic production capability across the supply chain.
The Opportunity
Through this EOI, KBR is building a talent pool of professionals who may be considered for current or future roles within the GWEO program. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the following areas, ideally gained within Defence or a defence manufacturing environment:
- Technical Program Management
- Technical Project Management
- Program and Project Support
- Schedule Management
- Systems Engineering
- Guided Weapons and/or Explosive Ordnance Engineering
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
The ideal candidates will bring a strong technical or engineering background, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to supporting Australia’s national security through the development of a sovereign Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance industrial base.
Location
The preferred location is Canberra; however, candidates from other locations across Australia may be considered, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Benalla, Mulwala, and Adelaide, subject to suitability and competitiveness of experience.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in defence technology, engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience working within regulated environments, including defence standards and compliance frameworks
- Experience on major Defence projects (CASG experience highly desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support effective stakeholder engagement
- A commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing
Security Requirements
All candidates must hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Defence Security Clearance.
Only candidates with an existing NV1 clearance or higher are eligible to apply.
