KBR is seeking a motivated and organised Project Support Officer (PSO) to join our team and provide essential coordination and administrative support within a dynamic project environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with project teams to ensure activities, documentation and reporting remain well organised and on track.

In this position, you will play a key role supporting project governance, coordinating meetings and documentation, maintaining project registers and assisting with reporting for project leadership. You will also provide light support to project risk and governance activities, including assisting with updates to risk registers within the PREDICT enterprise risk management tool and coordinating inputs from project stakeholders.

This opportunity is well suited to a detail-oriented project support professional who is looking to further develop their experience in a structured project environment while contributing to the successful delivery of complex programs. You will work alongside experienced project and technical teams, gaining exposure to project governance, risk processes and broader program operations

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day project and administrative support to the SPO team to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture minutes and track actions to support project governance.
  • Assist with preparation of project documentation, briefings, reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Maintain project registers, trackers and documentation to ensure information remains current and accessible.
  • Support coordination across acquisition, sustainment, engineering and other SPO functions.
  • Assist the team in maintaining project risk information within the enterprise Risk Management Tool (PREDICT).
  • Support updates to risk registers by coordinating inputs from risk owners and ensuring mitigation actions and review dates are captured.
  • Contribute to preparation of regular risk summaries and status updates for project and executive reporting.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • Experience in a Project Support Officer, Project Administrator, or Project Coordinator role, ideally within a Defence, government, or complex program environment.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting project governance activities, including meeting coordination, minutes, action tracking and preparation of reports or briefs.
  • Familiarity with project risk registers and basic risk management processes, with exposure to the PREDICT enterprise risk management tool highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project documentation, registers and trackers.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with internal stakeholders and project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to support teams in a fast-paced project environment.

 

Due to the nature of Defence work, applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an active NV1 security clearance.
