The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking an experienced and autonomous Cost Analyst to play a critical role in supporting the transition and retirement of the C-130J-30 fleet. If you excel in complex cost modelling, enjoy influencing strategic decisions, and thrive in a Defence environment—this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex pricing and cost analysis, including Annual Cost Reviews.
  • Develop cost estimates to support current and future sustainment budgets.
  • Lead detailed financial investigations that influence strategic decisions.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and change proposals.
  • Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior leadership.
  • Break down TLS pricing structures using existing data sources.
  • Support the 2026 Periodic Cost Review and contribute to Contract Reform.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including CFA, DFG, and NGA.
  • Participate in Phase Out Planning workshops.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Strong analytical, visual data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven stakeholder engagement across diverse teams
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Experience in Defence or complex commercial cost analysis
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar
  • CPA/CA/CIMA highly regarded; procurement/contracting training advantageous

Desirable Attributes

  • Defence sustainment or TLS contract knowledge
  • Familiarity with contract reform and value-for-money assessments
  • Experience in procedural documentation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
