The Opportunity

We are seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of a next‑generation EW capability for the Australian Defence Force. Operating within the CASG and One Defence frameworks, you will play a key role in applying systems engineering principles to deliver a cutting‑edge, mission‑critical system.

This is a rare chance to contribute to a high‑impact Defence program within the EW domain. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team on complex engineering activities including requirements definition, operational concept development, architecture trade studies, and systems‑level integration and testing.

Whether you're an experienced EW specialist or a systems engineer looking to expand your expertise in the Defence sector, this role offers the opportunity to work with leading experts, influence major capability outcomes, and contribute directly to Australia’s national security.

 In this role, you will:

  • Develop and manage system‑level requirements for the EW system.
  • Create and refine operational system concepts.
  • Conduct system architecture trade studies to evaluate design options.
  • Perform systems-level integration and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Defence and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Defence policies, standards, and frameworks throughout the engineering lifecycle.

You will bring:

  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, or a related discipline).
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare or Defence-related systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, frameworks, and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to work within structured Defence environments and deliver high‑quality outcomes in complex settings.
