The Opportunity:
KBR is is seeking an experienced and proactive Cost Analyst to support the transition and retirement of the C-130J-30 fleet. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex financial challenges, influencing strategic outcomes, and working within a dynamic Defence environment.
You will play a key role in cost modelling, financial analysis, and sustainment budgeting, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support major program decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed pricing and cost analysis, including Annual Cost Reviews and sustainment budget forecasting
- Develop and maintain cost models and estimates to support current and future program requirements
- Perform financial investigations and analysis to inform strategic and commercial decision-making
- Support contract negotiations, change proposals, and contract reform activities
- Prepare and present cost analysis findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Analyse and interpret TLS pricing structures using available data sources
- Contribute to the 2026 Periodic Cost Review and broader commercial improvement initiatives
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders
- Manage multiple priorities while working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Experience in Defence, government, sustainment, or complex commercial cost analysis environments
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
- CPA, CA, or CIMA qualifications highly regarded
- Procurement or contracting experience/training advantageous
