The Opportunity:

Operating within the CASG and One Defence frameworks, the Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the development, integration, and testing of a cutting-edge EW system. This position involves applying systems engineering principles to ensure the successful delivery of capability to the Australian Defence Force.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Defence capability within the Electronic Warfare domain. As an EW Engineer operating under the CASG and One Defence frameworks, you will be at the forefront of developing and integrating a next-generation EW system designed to enhance Australia's defence posture.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on complex systems engineering tasks, including requirements development, operational concept design, architecture trade studies, and systems-level integration and testing. This role offers the chance to work on mission-critical technology, collaborate with leading experts, and make a tangible contribution to national security.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage system-level requirements for the EW system.
  • Create and refine operational system concepts.
  • Conduct system architecture trade studies to evaluate design options.
  • Perform systems-level integration and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Defence and industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Defence standards and frameworks throughout the engineering lifecycle.

 As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, or related field).
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare or Defence-related systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering processes and lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work within structured frameworks and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
