The Opportunity:

This is your chance to be part of one of Defence’s most critical capability uplift programs. LAND 4140 is transforming the Australian Army’s digital backbone, delivering secure, resilient, and agile communications systems that underpin command and control across the Joint Land Force. You’ll be working on cutting edge technologies such as the Integrated Battlefield Telecommunications Network, Battle Management System, Tactical Communications Network, and Deployed Information Environment capabilities that will define how the Army operates in the modern battlespace.

In this role, you won’t just support you’ll lead and influence outcomes that matter. You’ll collaborate with senior Defence stakeholders, industry partners, and technical specialists to shape policy, manage complex work packages, and navigate high stakes commercial and compliance challenges. From planning and governance to hands on delivery, your work will directly impact national security and ensure the success of a program that is vital to Australia’s future defence capability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the LAND 4140 Integrated Delivery Team Project Director (PD) and Deputy PD (DPD).
• Assist in planning and establishing the LC4 Enterprise, including policy development, workflows for Work Package delivery, and stakeholder liaison.
• Manage Work Packages as required and maintain project documentation.
• Support commercial activities, business case development, and assurance processes.
• Assist with risk reduction activities and compliance with export controls and commercial rights.
• Review project and program documentation and contribute to governance and assurance processes.
• Engage with internal stakeholders, Defence clients, and industry partners to support project delivery.
• Prepare procurement documentation and support contract planning and performance

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

• Qualifications in legal, commercial management, project management, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Defence procurement frameworks (ASDEFCON) and One Defence Capability System.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in establishing partnering contract relationships and managing contracting/procurement activities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management tools.

Must be an Australian citizen and hold an active NV1 security Due to the nature of Defence work
