Join our Toorak Finance team !
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Finance team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will undertake duties and responsibilities involved in the generation and payment of invoices, managing expenses, verifying and reconciling financial data and responding to stakeholders to resolve queries.
This person will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be required to work closely with other members of the finance team and be able to take on different finance roles if/when required. They will work under the guidance of the Financial Controller to deliver quality services to the business in accordance with Kay & Burton's service level standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- All Accounts Payable duties; approximately 1000 invoices per month
- AR reconciliations
- Daily Bank reconciliation
- Advertising accounts, reconciling advertising expenses and revenue
- Maintenance of multiple Xero files
- Assisting with preparation of monthly management reports
- Assisting with month end process, balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with cashflow management
- Processing employee expense claims
- Assisting with processing of monthly payroll for all employees
- Assisting with preparation of BAS/IAS
- Assisting with Lodgement and payment of monthly payroll tax and superannuation
- Responding to account queries on a timely basis
- Provide timely and accurate information to relevant parties
- Manage and prioritise work as required to meet deadlines
- Any other accounts duties as required from time to time
- Work with current processes and work on continuous improvement for those processes where relevant
To be successful the applicant will have:
- Experience working within a Real estate accounts/finance team preferable
- 0- 3 years experience in accounting
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Experience with Xero, Box and Dice, employment hero is advantageous
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Be hard working and ready to learn
