Commissioning Engineer - Data Centres

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our growing Data Centre team and support the delivery of highly technical projects.

Snapshot of your new day-to-day

• Support the planning and delivery of commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical and controls systems
• Coordinate commissioning activities in line with project programmes, milestones and client requirements
• Work closely with Trade Partners, consultants, vendors and project teams to drive commissioning outcomes
• Support the development and review of commissioning plans, procedures, test scripts and results across L1–L5
• Track commissioning progress, risks, issues and outstanding actions through to close-out
• Support on-site testing, verification and inspection of building services systems
• Review commissioning documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues throughout commissioning
• Prepare commissioning reports and maintain accurate test records, evidence and handover documentation
• Support the successful transition of systems through commissioning and into final handover

Foundation for your success in the role

• Qualification in mechanical, electrical, building services, construction or a related engineering discipline
• Experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Project Engineer, Site Engineer or Services Engineer within construction or engineering
• Exposure to the installation, testing, commissioning or handover of building services
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and technical documentation
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, BMS or controls systems
• Experience coordinating Trade Partners, consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Exposure to commissioning plans, test scripts, witness testing, integrated systems testing and handover highly regarded
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive actions through to completion
• Experience with Aconex, Procore, HammerTech, Visibuild or similar platforms advantageous
• Data centre, critical infrastructure, hospital or other highly serviced project experience highly regarded
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
