What you’ll do
- Independently verify onsite and offsite works to ensure compliance with technical specifications, IFC drawings, local standards and contractual requirements
- Review shop drawings, material approvals and specifications to build technical understanding ahead of surveillance activities
- Establish and manage a weekly lookahead of surveillance activities in conjunction with project teams
- Identify non-conformances, communicate issues in real time, and support timely corrective action and close-out
- Recommend practical corrective actions that can be implemented by project teams and Trade Partners
- Track surveillance activities and outcomes within quality management platforms
- Consolidate surveillance findings and contribute to monthly project insight reporting
- Identify recurring themes and trends in non-conformances and support strategies to improve project outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with project teams and Trade Partners to support engagement and accountability
- Contribute to the ongoing development of construction surveillance processes and risk-based assurance activities
Who you are
- Experience in construction surveillance, independent assurance, quality verification, or similar infrastructure delivery environments
- Experience working within a Nominated Authority, Independent Reviewer and Environmental Auditor (IREA), or comparable assurance function is highly regarded
- Strong technical credibility in civils, structures or services
- Able to interpret design documentation quickly and confidently prior to physical verification activities
- Strong report writing and documentation capability
- Competent using quality management platforms such as Visibuild, RIBCx, Aconex or similar
- Confident communicator who can influence project teams and Trade Partners and raise issues in a timely, constructive way
- Self-driven and able to plan surveillance activities using your own initiative
- Comfortable working across both onsite and offsite environments with a strong physical site presence
