What You’ll Do

  • Own Digital Engineering governance: author and enforce project DEMP/BEP, modelling standards, and ISO 19650-aligned information management.
  • Coordinate, federate, and audit discipline models; run clash detection and resolution to ensure constructability, access/clearances, and compliance with NCC/Australian Standards.
  • Manage Common Data Environments (BIM 360/ACC; client EDMS such as Aconex): configure permissions, workflows, and transmittals; maintain documentation quality and version control.
  • Embed reality capture: integrate OpenSpace 360° and LiDAR point clouds to validate installation, tolerance checks, penetrations/openings, and as-built verification.
  • Drive digital delivery and data workflows: stand up dashboards for design health and clash trends; leverage model data for quantities, logistics, 4D sequencing, and sustainability reporting (e.g., Green Star).
  • Deliver site-verified as-built models and structured asset data to support client handover and facilities management.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to project teams and trade partners; lift capability across design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Liaise with Design Managers, consultants, and subcontractors; chair model coordination meetings and facilitate cross-discipline issue closure.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 8+ years in DE/BIM/VDC with 3+ years leading coordination teams on complex, multi-disciplinary projects; proven delivery of federated coordination and digital governance.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, ACC Model Coordination, and Revizto; experience with Civil 3D/12D, Tekla, and ReCap.
  • Standards: Strong knowledge of local DE requirements including ISO 19650, VDAS, NCC, Australian Standards; understanding of sustainability frameworks (e.g., Green Star).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to drive cultural change and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to address complex coordination issues with innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration: Cooperative approach with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated: ‘Can-do’ attitude.
