Our team

Justice Connect believes in a world where legal support is within everyone's reach. We focus on practical solutions that help people understand their rights, navigate complex systems, and take action to resolve their legal problems. We also work to strengthen the broader systems that shape access to justice across Australia.

The Engagement team is how Justice Connect reaches the people who need us. Through strategic communications, digital outreach, fundraising, and evaluation, we turn complex legal work into clear, human stories — and connect insight to action.

The Fundraising Coordinator sits within this team, working closely with the Fundraising and Engagement Manager to coordinate everything from individual giving and grants through to digital fundraising campaigns. You'll be the person who keeps Justice Connect's fundraising engine running — building donor relationships, chasing down grant opportunities, running appeals, and making sure the data in the CRM actually reflects what's happening.

Justice Connect values flexibility. While this role is advertised as full-time, we will consider 0.8 FTE if preferred, and we're open to discussing how the role can be structured.

Our ideal candidate

You'll bring to the team experience in the following areas:

  • 2+ years working in a fundraising coordinator or fundraising administration role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage donors, funding bodies, sector partners, and senior internal staff.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage donor and funder data (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • The ability to juggle multiple fundraising projects and deadlines without dropping anything.
  • A collaborative working style — you're motivated by working alongside colleagues, donors, and external partners to hit shared goals.

Expertise that would be a bonus:

  • Tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Fundraising experience in the legal sector or social services sector.

Candidates will need to demonstrate commitment to Justice Connect's vision, strategy and values.

What you will achieve in the role

In this role, you'll work to:

  • Coordinate Justice Connect's grant program end-to-end — from managing the internal EOI process and tracking deadlines to maintaining centralised records and liaising with external stakeholders to secure funding.
  • Run the operational side of annual fundraising appeals (EOFY, summer appeal), including planning, collateral production, and donor communications.
  • Keep the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) accurate and up to date, accurately capturing donor activity through the CRM platform and will assist in delivery of Justice Connect’s annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Contribute to digital outreach campaigns for donor acquisition and retention through Justice Connect's Digital Consumer Outreach program.
  • Communicate directly with donors and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to secure grant funding.
  • Work with the Engagement and Fundraising manager — your work will be key to realising Justice Connect's fundraising strategy and goals, you will coordinate all fundraising activity for Justice Connect, spanning individual giving, grants, and digital fundraising.

A week in this role

If you were here last week, you would have been doing:

  • Daily maintenance of the the Justice Connect CRM (using Microsoft Dynamics) to accurately reflect donor activity.
  • Assisting the Engagement and Fundraising Manager with a review of an EOFY fundraising appeal copy document.
  • Responding to donor queries and questions via email.
  • Drafting social media copy to accompany a social media campaign through Meta
  • Building and testing donor EDMs using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Identifying a key grant opportunity, and sharing with Justice Connect program managers.
