About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term contract for a 3-6 month basis. This is a hands-on role supporting both residential and community services, with regular site visits as required.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will support the delivery of Juniper’s WHS management systems, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality environments for our staff, residents and clients.

You’ll partner closely with operational leaders to provide practical WHS advice, lead investigations, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate incident and hazard reporting, investigations and WHS data analysis
  • Conduct site audits, risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support WHS compliance, policy development and safety initiatives
  • Coach and support managers and staff on WHS practices and responsibilities
  • Maintain WHS registers, reporting and trend analysis
  • Facilitate WHS committee meetings and consultation processes
  • Support injury management and return to work processes
  • Deliver WHS training, inductions and toolbox sessions
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure organizational compliance

Key requirements:

  • Certificate IV (or higher) in Work Health & Safety
  • Proven experience in a WHS Advisor role (aged care, healthcare or community highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of WA WHS legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience in incident investigation, audits and risk management
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coach stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites
  • Injury management / return to work experience
