About the role:

Juniper Aged Care is actively seeking detail-oriented and experienced Multiskilled Domestic to join our dedicated team at Juniper Hillcrest in Geraldton. The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the kitchen, preparing food, and keeping the kitchen area clean and compliant with food safety requirements.

A permanent part-time contract of 14 hours per fortnight is available for the successful candidate. Availability between 4:00pm and 7:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays is essential. Generous penalty rates apply for weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch and dinner in accordance with resident requirements/ preferences
  • Providing kitchen hand services at the facility such as modifying food texture and apportioning food accurately
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment
  • Consistently applying Safe Food Handling Practices
  • Safely use equipment and PPE
  • Adhering to Juniper’s Occupational, Safety and Health requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Must have valid work rights in Australia
  • Previous experience in a commercial cooking & cleaning
  • Safe food handling practice and hygiene standards with experience in maintaining cleanliness
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, customers, and team members
  • Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices and procedures for cooking operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
