Juniper is seeking an experienced Maintenance Gardener to join our team at our Numbala Nunga facility in Derby to work on a part-time basis.

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Gardener/Officer with Juniper, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance and gardening services to ensure the site remains functional, safe and presentable. Your role will also include general maintenance of grounds, buildings, fittings and equipment.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent part-time position working Monday to Friday between 07:30am - 13:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance duties as required while ensuring economical and safe use of Juniper’s resources
  • Maintains facilities in accordance with policies and strives to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment
  • Respects residents’ private property and their right to privacy
  • Maintaining fixed assets using appropriate trade skills, tools or outside providers as necessary
  • Applies the principles of planned preventative maintenance
  • Maintains knowledge and skills in accordance with the required competencies of the position
  • Ensuring compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management

Key Requirements:

  • Trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment (desirable)
  • Understanding of current OSH and legal requirements
  • A current C class WA drivers licence
  • Sound experience in building maintenance and related areas
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively without supervision
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
