About the Role:
Juniper is seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety Manager to lead and strengthen WHS across our Residential, Community and Corporate services.
Based at our Balcatta Central Head Office and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across workplace health and safety, injury management and psychosocial safety.
Partnering closely with leaders across the organisation, you will drive safety culture, support compliance and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workforce wellbeing and organisational outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a practical approach and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Juniper’s WHS framework, systems and governance processes
- Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders across Residential, Community and Corporate portfolios
- Manage workplace incidents, investigations and corrective actions
- Oversee Workers Compensation and injury management processes
- Support psychosocial risk management and wellbeing initiatives
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards and reporting obligations
- Drive continuous improvement across safety systems, reporting and education
- Partner with operational leaders to proactively manage organisational risk
- Prepare WHS reporting and insights for executive leadership
About You:
You are an experienced WHS leader who brings a collaborative and practical approach to safety leadership.
You will ideally have:
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS leadership role
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience managing Workers Compensation and injury management matters
- Confidence managing psychosocial risks and complex stakeholder matters
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships across operational and corporate teams
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline
- Experience within aged care, healthcare, community services or other complex operational environments highly regarded
