About the role:
Juniper is seeking an experienced and committed Registered Nurse to join the team at Juniper Sarah Hardy, located in Kelmscott, in a permanent part-time night duty position.
As a Registered Nurse with Juniper Sarah Hardy, you will be responsible for assessing residents’ clinical needs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents’ care plans, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care overnight.
You will play a key role in clinical decision-making, mentoring and supervising care staff, and supporting required AN-ACC assessments, contributing to continuity of care and resident safety during night shifts.
Permanent Part-Time Night Shift Roster:
This role offers a set, consistent night duty roster across both weeks of the roster cycle:
- Week 1 & Week 2
- Tuesday Night – 10:15pm to 7:15am
- Wednesday Night – 10:15pm to 7:15am
- Thursday Night – 10:15pm to 7:15am
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and respond appropriately to changes in residents’ condition during night duty
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in partnership with residents and their families
- Provide overnight clinical leadership, guidance, and supervision to care staff
- Liaise with on-call clinicians, GPs, and external providers as required
- Complete and contribute to AN-ACC and other required clinical assessments
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, professional standards, and Aged Care Quality Standards
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, particularly overnight
- Ability to guide staff in wound care and diabetes management
- Sound understanding of medication administration and medication management systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work a set permanent night shift roster
